My beautiful lilium bloomed again this year.

Secrets never revealed in the light of day

Birch Trees/Σημυδες

My first attempt at painting trees on a large canvas. I was inspired by a couple of videos that I saw on YouTube and thought I’d give it a try. Trees are fun to paint and I don’t think that you can mess up too badly.

Oceanid/Ὠκεανίς

A a visual person I can see some strange things in my head sometimes. When I saw the above image in my mind, I decided to attempt to paint it. The painting made me think of an Oceanid-a sea-nymph from Greek and Roman Mythology. There are three thousand Oceanids and they are daughters of the Titans Oceanus and Tethys. Each Oceanid were patronesses of rivers, ponds, lakes and so on.

Just another mixed-media painting of a woman that I completed last week. I don’t know who she is, but I love her eyes. For the background I used magazines texts and images and I painted over them with yellow and red acrylics. I added some dabs of gesso as well for texture.
