You REAP What You Sow/O,τι Σπέρνεις, Θερίζεις

Illustration ‘You Reap What You Sow’ by Angela Zafiris

Happy Halloween!! A little treat for the followers. I drew the reaper getting what he deserves. And a poem in the spirit of Halloween. 🙂

THE GRIM REAPER

The reaper

Looks grim

His patience is wearing thin

He knows he can’t

Come for my soul

Though the hands and feet are cold

But not the heart

It won’t grow cold by the storms

Or by enemies and vampiric energies

The black magic went away

Watch it’s slow decay

Black shadows deflected

By the light

Up into the air

To meet the wrath of the angels

My time isn’t his

Let the reaper despair.

Galatians 6:7-9

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Evzones At Night

At ‘The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier’
The changing of the guard at the Greek parliament.

Night time photographs of the ‘Evzones’-Greek presidential guards. I was just walking by when the ceremony began for the changing of the guard. I have photographed it before during the day, but I decided to take some night photographs too.

This took place after a anti-mask protest at Syndagma square across the street. A lot of action that night :0

Bird In Flight

‘The sky’s the limit!’

That’s what they said

Before the great world war

Unbridled optimism

Impossible as it seems in the time of fragility

If you know the past, then you know the future

And the past was just a cycle of highs and lows

Have patience and look up

One day our spirits will soar

We will fly high like the birds

And without any limits.

Kalo Mina! (Happy New Month!)

As happy as anyone can be in these difficult times.

Resilience is the key. I am fearful of October..Let us pray!

These are a few street photos from a month ago that I took around the area of the Acropolis, Plaka, as well as the shopping district of Monastiraki. Of course it wasn’t as crowded as other years, but there were quite a few tourists.

I will be avoiding the downtown area as cases of Covid-19 have gone up there and I want to avoid the metro too.
