A ‘cool’ photo of a rose kissing snow (love this shade of pink) with a two layered background, rose stems and bokeh. I didn’t expect a good result from this shot. Photography is magic 😉

Happy New Year! May the new year bless everyone with love, good health, and prosperity.
It was a very rainy and windy New years eve here in Athens, but the weather didn’t stop the beautiful fireworks display from happening all over the city.
I am very glad to let 2018 go as it was a very challenging year for, not only myself, but for the whole world. I am so thankful for this blog as it has helped me remain motivated and focused on my creative pursuits. Thank goodness for creativity!
The world can seem so dark, and life can be such a disappointment sometimes; people can be so cruel, but the beauty of art and nature balances it all out.
Stay strong no matter what the new year may bring. 🙂

Be strong and resilient like a rose in the winter..
Να είστε ισχυροί και ανθεκτικοί σαν τριαντάφυλλο το χειμώνα ..

A tall white rose in black and white. They bloomed so quickly after a mild Athenian winter.
Ένα ψηλό λευκό τριαντάφυλλο σε μαύρο και άσπρο φωτογραφία. Ανθισε τόσο γρήγορα μετά από το ήπιο χειμώνα της Αθήνας

Angel + Rose
May we all have angels watching over us this year.
Να έχουμε όλοι αγγέλους να μας παρακολουθούν φέτος.

The month of November has long been the rainiest month in Greece. But, the rare ‘medicane’ (mediterranean + hurricane) that enveloped Greece this past Wednesday brought catastrophic flooding that took the lives of 21+ people, (many more have not been accounted for), and hundreds of people have been left homeless. This is the worst flooding Athens has seen in decades and it has left the country in a state of shock.
Global natural disasters are increasing by the day and whatever the cause, that fact is that we live in an unstable planet. Like our ancestors we have to adapt to the changes and continue to rebuild again. My sympathies and condolences to anyone who has lost someone to anyone who has lost a loved one the flooding, earthquakes and fires in recent times.

For all of the wonderful mothers out there that bring their nurturing, warmth and compassion to the world.

Fragility of life
wilted petals on the ground
like countless bodies
a few had big dreams
others only lived for the moment
their light left
and went to the heavens
others found a new home
to try once more
and face the storms again.

The rainy season has come earlier than expected, and my roses survived the storms. One last day at the beach before fall would be nice..:)
