I like how the blurry lights mimic the lightning bolt.

After the fires a bizare electrical storm lit up the Athenian skies. A highly unusual weather occurence for the Attiki region for the month of August.

Fires are still raging in some parts of Greece…

Μετά τις πυρκαγιές μια παράξενη ηλεκτρική καταιγίδα φώτισε τον αθηναϊκό ουρανό. Ένα εξαιρετικά ασυνήθιστο καιρικό φαινόμενο για την περιοχή της Αττικής για τον μήνα Αύγουστο.

Οι φωτιές εξακολουθούν να μαίνονται σε ορισμένα μέρη της Ελλάδας …

Beautiful Sky/Ομορφος Ουρανός

I rarely use filters for my photographs. I don’t really like the end result. I find the natural hues more beautiful , however sometimes a filter can enhance a photograph and make it more appealing.

Kites in the air.

Yesterday we celebrated ‘Clean Monday’ in Greece. The tradition is that we eat fish and fly kites. It is the beginning of the severe fasting leading up to Easter Sunday in May.

Dark World/Σκοτεινος Κοσμος

A few photographs of the strawberry moon and the lunar eclipse from last night. We had a lot of cloud coverage here in Athens and I didn’t catch the moon when it was clear on time. I thought that the dark clouds looked so ominous and a bit foreboding. I took it as a sign that what we are going to see a lot more things that we never thought we would see before. There is a lot of talk from prophets and astrologers a like so I think we are in for a wild ride. What we have seen before and experienced won’t even compare.
