Invasion/Εισβολη

The catepillars are feasting on decaying flowers. Nothing goes to waste in nature.
Flower Market/Εκθεση Λουλουδιων

Happy Mother’s Day!
I bought some very inexpensive flowers from this little flower market in the Northern Suburbs of Athens. There was music, dancing and flowers. Looks like we are prepping for summer!
Creativity & Courage
Day Quote Challenge Day 3
I was nominated by Manuela to participate in the 3 day quote challenge.
Thank you to https://inaloveworld.wordpress.com/ for nominating me for this challenge.

“Creativity Takes Courage”-Henri Matisse
One of my favourite quotes because it is one thing to have an idea or image in your head and another to actually go about bringing it to form. There is a lot of doubt and uncertainty. You will make mistakes. The result won’t be like you expected, but it is worth a try.

“Be kind for everyone is fighting a hard battle”. -Plato
My long time favourite quote. People go through so much in their lives and a nice gesture or compliment can make a big difference in a persons’ life.

Dark Vs Light
Day Quote Challenge Day 1
I was nominated by Manuela to participate in the 3 day quote challenge.
Thank you to https://inaloveworld.wordpress.com/ for nominating me for this challenge.
Rules:
1.) Thank the person who nominated you.
2.) Post a quote for three consecutive days (1 quote for each day).
3.) Share why this quote appeals so much to you.
4.) Nominate 3 different bloggers for each day.

This is one of my favourite quotes. It really caught my attention. I love it because it is so positive, hopeful and truthful. The darkness should never win; it fears the light. There is so much light in the world even if we can’t see it.

May Day!/Πρωτoμαγια!
‘Happy first day of the month!’ or ‘Kalo Mina!’ as we say here in Greece.
On this day in Greece, we like to make wreaths. It’s a national holiday and no one works. In northern Europe people dance around poles and they wear wreaths of flowers on their heads.
I got my plants and I am ready to do so some gardening. I not only a cat lady, but a plant lady too 😉
Escape From Earth/Αποδραστε απο τη Γη

Lets escape this world
Leave the corrupt behind
Our holy bones
Do not rest
The air makes us breathless
The water poisons and brings us thirst
The endless warnings of doom
and gloom
*2 and 1/2 minutes
on the clock
till midnight
That’s what they say
But, not if we are a world away.
* References the doomsday clock. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doomsday_Clock
The poem is inspired by all of the talk of ‘doomsday’ in April (again).
Confidence/Αυτοπεποίθηση

Conflict/Σύγκρουση

I called the photos ‘conflict’ because the drops of oil look like rockets or nuclear missiles, and the red looks of course like blood that was spilled and the blue is our earth, the yellow colour seems weak and is trying to keep the peace; to stop the conflict that is happening.
This is a continuation from an experiment where I used oil, water a glass dish, sunlight, but this time I added food colouring . I added food colouring to my oil and water photography experiment as suggested by fellow blogger ‘washekoda’. He suggested I put the glass dish on a speaker to create movement in the water, but I decided to wait for an earthquake instead;) But, no earthquake though. The drops of oil reflected a lot of light, but I liked the result.
