Lake Doxa in Corinthos is a popular tourist attraction. Many Greeks come here to camp and go horse backriding or do water sports. The scenery is majestic. and there is a land bridge leading to the church of Saint Phanourios. On the path leading to the church there are many local vendors that sell everything from honey to artisan jewelry and many other treats to keep your belly full.
Η λίμνη Δόξα στην Κόρινθο είναι ένα δημοφιλές τουριστικό αξιοθέατο. Πολλοί Έλληνες έρχονται εδώ για να κατασκηνώσουν και να κάνουν ιππασία ή να κάνουν θαλάσσια σπορ. Το τοπίο είναι μαγευτικό. και υπάρχει χερσαία γέφυρα που οδηγεί στην εκκλησία του Αγίου Φανουρίου. Στο μονοπάτι που οδηγεί στην εκκλησία υπάρχουν πολλοί ντόπιοι πωλητές που πουλάνε από μέλι μέχρι χειροποίητα κοσμήματα και πολλές άλλες λιχουδιές για να κρατήσετε την κοιλιά σας γεμάτη.

In the 90’s the inhabitants created funny art installations and signs throughout the park. Now it has become a big attraction in Greece.
It’s a beautiful, peaceful three hour walk through the forest.
Το δεύτερο μέρος της παρτίδας φωτογραφιών του Πάρκου Παυλιάνη στη Στερεά Ελλάδα.
Στη δεκαετία του ’90 οι κάτοικοι δημιούργησαν αστείες εγκαταστάσεις τέχνης και πινακίδες σε όλο το πάρκο. Τώρα έχει γίνει μεγάλο αξιοθέατο στην Ελλάδα.
Είναι ένα όμορφο, γαλήνιο τρίωρο περπάτημα μέσα στο δάσος.

It is an almost three hour long ride to the very popular ‘Pauliani Park’ from Athens. It is part of the Municipality of Lamia in central Greece. There are 498 inhabitants and it is at an elevation of 1.040 m.
It was a chilly day when I went last week, but at least is wasn’t raining. It looked like it had rained before my arrival, as the trail in the park was very muddy. Athletic attire and hiking shoes/boots are a must. It is a popular place for hikers. The hikers said that the two hour hike up the mountain where the replica of the ‘Game of Thrones’ chair is located was gruelling.
I opted out of the hike as I had my hands full with my camera and was already tired from walking through the park, which takes about three hours to explore. The longer the walk the more the pictures! There was a lot to photograph with the funny art installations and beautiful streams.
Απέχει σχεδόν τρεις ώρες από την Αθήνα μέχρι το πολύ δημοφιλές «Πάρκο Αναψυχής, Παύλιανη». Εντάσσεται στο Δήμο Λαμιέων στη Στερεά Ελλάδα. Έχει 498 κατοίκους και βρίσκεται σε υψόμετρο 1.040 μ.
Ήταν μια κρύα μέρα όταν πήγα την περασμένη εβδομάδα, αλλά τουλάχιστον δεν έβρεχε. Έμοιαζε σαν να έβρεχε πριν από την άφιξή μου, καθώς το μονοπάτι στο πάρκο ήταν πολύ λασπωμένο. Αθλητική ενδυμασία και παπούτσια/μπότες πεζοπορίας είναι απαραίτητα. Είναι ένα δημοφιλές μέρος για πεζοπόρους. Οι πεζοπόροι είπαν ότι η δίωρη πεζοπορία στο βουνό όπου βρίσκεται το αντίγραφο της καρέκλας του «Game of Thrones» ήταν εξαντλητική.
Επέλεξα να αποχωρήσω από την πεζοπορία καθώς είχα γεμάτα τα χέρια με τη φωτογραφική μηχανή μου και ήμουν ήδη κουρασμένη από το περπάτημα στο πάρκο, το οποίο διαρκεί περίπου τρεις ώρες για να εξερευνήσετε. Όσο μεγαλύτερη είναι η βόλτα τόσο περισσότερες οι φωτογραφίες! Υπήρχουν πολλά πράγματα για να φωτογραφίσεις με τις αστείες εγκαταστάσεις τέχνης και τα όμορφα ρεύματα.

The scenic village of Akovos in Arcadia, Peloponnese is a village seeped in history. The mountains are breathtaking and offer a great escape from the city life.
I was taking some photos at a place called Planetero in the Pelponnesse, when a very friendly dog demanded I take a profile shot of him. Judging by the photographs he is a a natural model. Then his friend came along and asked for a photograph too. 🙂
Έβγαζα μερικές φωτογραφίες σε ένα μέρος που λέγεται Πλανητέρο στην Πελοπόννησο, όταν ένας πολύ φιλικός σκύλος απαίτησε να του τραβήξω μια φωτογραφία με το προφίλ του. Αν κρίνουμε από τις φωτογραφίες είναι φυσικό μοντέλο. Έπειτα ήρθε ο φίλος του και ζήτησε επίσης μια φωτογραφία. 🙂
