And the denial of your actual character never equates to the reality of your best character. People today are afraid to work on themselves and on their actual realities, they believe that outward appearances are enough. Outward appearances have become everything in our current day and age. People don’t see what they are actually like, nor who they actually are, in reality. They live in a phantasmic version of reality. It has to stop. In the phantasmic version of reality, there is no chance to experience true love, true goodness, and true metamorphosis. The caterpillar does not become a butterfly by telling everybody it has wings. It actually buries itself in darkness and grows those wings.”

Καλό μήνα!  Happy new month!

The red and white string in the photo is worn by Greeks and by people from Balkan countries during the month of March. It’s supposed to protect a person from getting sun burnt this month. The March sun can be deceptive; you don’t think it will burn you because it’s not summer yet, but it will. So a bit of sun screen coupled with this string would be a better idea.

At the end of the month the string is put on a rose bush so that the birds can take it and use it to make their nests.

It was a nice day for a trip down town. It was a warm week before the winter chill came back again.

Ήταν μια ωραία μέρα για μια βολτα στο κέντρο της πόλης. Ήταν μια ζεστή εβδομάδα λιγο πριν το κρύο ερθει ξανα.

Now it’s time for a little rant…

I was on You Tube and I came across numerous talking heads with channels. I listened and listened to what they have to say about people, life and the universe.. blah blah blah.  I disagreed with a few things that they had to say. They seemed so out of touch. I realized it was just useless banter from people of privileged positions.  They are all so sanctimonious with their ‘crowns’ and with a talent at bringing people down because its profitable. Some have a PhD in whatever field and some are intuitive/spiritual and others who have the gift of gab aka blabber mouths.  There is a laundry list of things you HAVE to do before a certain age (God forbid you don’t want to do those things) or you do, but haven’t achieved these things yet, and perhaps you never will. That’s life!

What is right for them might not work for you. What they wanted out of life might not be what you want out of life. Everyone’s life is unique. We each have our own paths to follow and lessons to learn.

So be your own life coach. Follow your own path. If life is too short then don’t listen to the dribble. We will all end up six feet under anyways no matter what road or piece of advice we take.

Now, I hope that wasn’t too much talking for you. Just a healthy dose of the truth.

Make sure to get some vitamin C this cold/flu season A little raw garlic clove ingested with orange juice in another trick to keep the germs at bay.

Frosty Rose/ Παγωμενο Τριανταφυλλο

A ‘cool’ photo of a rose kissing snow (love this shade of pink) with a two layered background, rose stems and bokeh. I didn’t expect a good result from this shot.  Photography is magic 😉

Ένα τριαντάφυλλο που φιλάει το χιόνι. Λατρεύω αυτή τη σκιά του ροζ. Με δύο στρώματα φόντου,  τριαντάφυλλα και bokeh. Δεν περίμενα ένα καλό αποτέλεσμα από αυτό το πλάνο. Η φωτογραφία είναι μαγική 😉
